The middle part of May brings a pause of sorts to the
poker world, with the worldwide blend of poker tournaments
winding down and all eyes turning toward Las Vegas,
where the World Series of Poker begins in barely a
week. The spring edition of the Full Tilt Online
Poker Series, FTOPS VIII, concluded its run, while the
last live event of the pre-WSOP season, the Bayou
Classic WSOP Circuit stop in New Orleans, worked
toward its conclusion. (Results next week.) Beyond
